Desafio para você / Challenge for you

Como você já deve ter notado, não gosto de adicionar algo aqui, neste blog, só por adicionar. A idéia é "Se eu preciso escrever, tem que fazer alguma diferença". Portanto, agora eu trago um desafio para você e você pode postar aqui o seu resultado.

O desafio não lhe trará mais do que o resultado obtido, que é suficiente. Vamos a ele.
Neste final de semana fui ao hospotal porque meu pai tem um problema de saúde e precisa ser tratado. Já na mesa do médico, minha mãe e eu assitíamos ao doutor digitar bastante, basicamente ele estava digitando as informações que acabara de escrever no papel que continha toda informação pessoal do meu pai.

Num dado moment, eu comecei a perguntar o que e porque estava digitando, que tipo de informação ele tinha disponível sobre meu pai, dado que meu pai esteve lá 2 dias antes.

As respostas foram excelentes, descobri alguns pontos a serem modificados e como o próprio médico concordou comigo, posso dizer pontos que podem ser melhores e mais rápidos para o próprio médico e para os pacientes. Aqui vão eles:
1. O médico não tem acesso ao histórico das consultas anteriores no hospital.
meus pontos: consulta ao histórico melhoraria a maneira de como lidar com o paciente, evitaria que erros anteriores voltassem a serem cometidos e poderia se ter uma melhor avaliação baseado em mais informações sobre o paciente a ser tratado.
Pontos dos médicos: não é ético ver/avaliar a conduta de outros mécidos... Minha opinião é, se você tem a informação que pode lhe dar melhores resultados e não a utiliza porque o médico anterior pode ter errado, é burrice. Utilizando o historicoi pode melhorar as chances do paciente.

2. O papel que vimos estava no sistema, imprimir é apenas para escrever nele.
Meu ponto: isso poderia ser impresso no final do processo com as informações disponíveis e se necessário. Escrever no papel e depois no sistema é retrabalho e faz com que pessoas esperem para ser atendidas/tratadas.
Ponto dos médicos: eles gostam de escrever no papel, eu concordo que é uma cultura, mas pode ser modificada para que fique mais rápido e barato.

3. Os remédios que meu pai toma devem ser inseridos manualmente no sistema. um a um bem como os adicionados na consulta corrente.
Meus pontos: leitor de código de barras poderiam ser utilizados para agilizar o processo.

Portanto, esses são os 3 pontos que eu vi na conculta com meu pai e minha mãe. E o médico foi muito receptivo as idéias... E não o interrompi em nenhum momento, nós só nos falávamos quando possível.

Agora, o desafio, todos nós temos compromissos com serviços ou comprando algo. Tente identificar quantos pontos possíveis a serem melhorados no serviço, processo ou o que seja. Se possível post aqui para compartilhar conosco.

O objetivo é adicionar a cultura do melhorar sempre, nós sempre podemos melhorar alguma coisa. Divirta-se e guarde isso em você, você colherá os frutos nas próximas vezes que usar esses serviços/processos etc.

As you could see, I do not like to add something here, in this blog, just to add something. The idea here is "If I need to write, it must make some difference". So, now I came with a challenge and you can post here what you got.

The challenge will not give you more then the given result that you got, that's enough. So, let's go to the challenge.

This weekend I went to the hospital because my father has a problem and need to be treated. On the doctor's desk my mother and I were watching the doctor typing a lot, basically he was typing the information that he just added to the paper with all personal data of my father.

In a given moment I started to ask the doctor what and why he was typing, what kind of information he had available about my father, given that my father was there 2 days before.

The answers were great, I have discovered some points to be changed and as the doctor agreed I can tell, could be better and faster to the doctor and to the patient. Here they are:
1. The doctor does not have access to history of the previous stays.
my points: the access to history would improve the way to deal with the patient, would avoid past errors and could get a better evaluation with more information about the person that must be treated.
Doctors point: it's not ethic to see/evaluate other doctors actions... My opinion is, if you have the information that can get a better result and do not use because the previous person could be wrong is stupid. Using the history can increase the chances of the patient.

2. The paper that we saw was in the system, print is just to write it.
my points: it could be printed at the end with all information available and if needed. write on the paper and then on the system is rework and make people wait to be cared.
Doctors point: they like to write on the paper, I agree that's a culture, but could be changed to be faster and cheaper.

3. The medicine taken by my father must be typed one by one as the others just added.
my points: barcode reader could be used to make the process faster.

So, those are 3 points I saw on the doctor appointment with my mother and father. And the doctor was well receptive to the ideas... And I did not interrupt the service at all, we just talked when possible.

Now, the challenge, all of us have appointments with services or purchasing stuff. Try identify as much as possible points to be improve the process/service or whatever you prefer. If possible, please post here to share with us.

Adaptabilidade Inovação Evolução / Adaptability Innovation Evolution

Inovação ainda é visto como sendo algo totalmente novo, criado por gênios que estão acima da média de nós simples mortais. A idéia de inovação não é nova, só vem sendo mais exigida agora que antes.

Inovação pode ser uma mudança num processo já existente, ou um aspecto novo de olhar a mesma coisa, ou uma maneira diferente de usar componentes existentes. Daí a idéia de evolução.

Portanto evolução é resultado da inovação? Bom, é quase isso, Vamos chegar lá. Para que se tenha uma mudança ou para que se use algo de forma diferente é preciso que haja a necessidade. Novas necessidades são geradas em situações adversas ou novas. Sintetizando, se temos sempre os mesmos problemas, teremos sempre as mesmas soluções até que alguém resolva fazer diferente para evitar os mesmos problemas. Mas claro, novos problemas virão, mais complexos e desafiadores...

Para resolvermos novos problemas temos de vivenciá-los, entendê-los e então buscar a solução. E para isso precisamos, antes de qualquer coisa, flexibilidade ou adaptabilidade. Novas situações requerem que nos adaptemos a ela, assim podemos entender onde estamos e então encontrar soluções.

Portanto evolução é resultado da flexibilidade exigida por novas situações onde temos novas necessidades e inovamos para poder seguir em frente.

A chave da evolução desde os primeiros seres vivos sempre foi a adaptabilidade aos novos ambientes. E isso é uma das poucas coisas que não mudaram, o sucesso profissional ou de uma corporação está na capacidade de se adaptar as mudanças.

Innovation is still viewed as something totally new, created by geniuses that are above average of us normal people. The idea of innovation is not new, but now is more required than before.

Innovation can be a change on an existing process, or a look through new aspect of the same object or a different way of use the same component. There is the idea of evolution.

So, does evolution result from innovation? Well, that’s almost it. We will get there. To change something or to use an existing component in different ways a need is required. New needs are generated in different or new situations. In summary, if we have the same problems, we will have the same solutions until someone decide to do something different to avoid the same problems. Then, for sure, other problems will come, more complexes and challenges…

To solve new problems we must live them, understand them and then look further for the solution. And for that, more then anything else, we need to have flexibility or adaptability. New situations require that we adapt to them and we can understand where we are and find solutions.

So, evolution is the result of flexibility that new situations require with new needs and we innovate to go further.

The key of evolution since the very beginning is the adaptability to the new requirements. And this is one of the few things that never changed, the success professional or of a corporation is in the capability of adapt to new situations and requirements.

Celulares x Computadores / Cell phones x Computers

Estava pensando, a algum tempo escutamos que as tecnologias estão diminuido e potencializando os equipamentos. E vemos isso acontecendo ano após ano.

Mas dessa vez estou começando a acreditar que esse processo irá mudar o computador de nome e o novo nome será telefone celular.

Os celulares estão num tamanho aparentemente estável, o que eu chamaria de "tamanho
ideal". Estão substituindo os Palmtops ou PDAs com suas novas funções. Eu diria que no caminho entre celular e computador a primeira etapa foi substituir os PDAs. Agora só falta mesmo os computadores.

Conheci pessoalmente o mais novo celular da Nokia, o N95. É impressionante o que se tem na mão. O monitor tem ótima resolução, câmera digital de 5.0mp (a minha tem 4.2mb), a interface é muito amigável, função de GPS com mapas embutidos, acesso Wi Fi e Bluetooth e ainda faz e recebe chamadas. Tem cartão de 1Gb de memória, expansível até 4Gb. Esse último me chamou a atenção. Os computadores passaram por isso a algum tempo, pequenos discos de 2 e 4Gb eram mais que suficientes para o Windows e tudo mais que usávamos. Hoje estamos nos 500Gb. Com uma diferença, já temos a tecnologia disponível para aumentar a capacidade de armazenamento dos celulares.

O quanto estamos longe de trocar o laptop pelo celular? Imagine por um min, você chegando no escritório (em casa claro) conectando o teclado e o monitor (flat para dizer o mínimo) via algum padrão wireless (a que você preferir). Conecta-se a internet via celular diretamente, nada de provedores de banda larga ou de acesso. O celular tem todo o necessário para internet. O celular tem todos os softwares que você precisa para desempenhar suas funções (as básicas já são possíveis hoje). E ainda se precisar ligar vai usar o VoIP via celular sem que as outras funções parem.

Bom eu vi o N95, mas muitos outros seguem no mesmo caminho. Ah se esse for mesmo o futuro, em mais alguns aninhos estaremos falando com alguém no telefone e olhando para ela. Já temos a transmissão de dados de áudio e vídeo, e ficarão melhores com o acesso via celular diretamente

Sei não, mas se eu fosse o computador tentaria me agarrar nos processamentos pesados dentro das corporações...

I was thinking, during some time we are always listening that that technologies are becoming smaller and powerful. Then we see it happening year by year.

But now I believe that the process will change the name of the computer and new name will be cell phone.

The cell phones are in a accepted size, it’s kind of stable, I would call it “ideal size”. Cell phones are taking place of Palmtops and PDAs with the new functions. I would say that in the way from cell phone to computer, the first step was substitute the PDAs. Now just the computers will be out of the way.

Today I have met the brand new Nokia N95. It’s amazing what it is in on hand. The monitor has a great resolution, digital camera with 5.0mp (mine has 4.2mp), the interface is really friendly, there is GPS function, WI FI access and Bluetooth and of course make and receive calls. There is a 1Gb memory card and you have 4 of those keys until 4Gb. This is what call my attention. The computers had the same phase some time ago, small hard disks of 2 or 4Gb were more then enough to Windows and all other tools used at that time. Today we have 500Gb. With a difference, we already have the technology available to increase the store capacity of the cell phones

How far are we from substitute the laptop by the cell phone? Imagine for a min, you arrive in your office (at home for sure) connect the keyboard and the monitor (flat to say the minimum) via some wireless standard (you choose). Connect to the internet via cell phone directly, without broad band or internet access providers. The cell phone have all you need to the internet. The cell phone has all softwares you need to perform your functions (the basic is already possible). And if you need to call you can use the VoIP via cell phone without the other functions stop.

Well, I saw the N95, but there are many on the same direction. Ah if this is the really the way of the future, within more few years we will be talking with somebody on the phone and looking to the person. The audio and video transmissions are available now and will be better with the intenet access by cell phones.

Not sure, but if I was the computer, I would try to take the heavy calculations within corporations…

Confiança em todos os relacionamentos / Trust on all relationships

Bom, recebi alguns comentários, principalmente de amigos sobre o primeiro texto que postei e está com cara de texto de revista, fala sobre o assunto, mas só. E não tem muito a minha cara, sem opinião. Então a partir deste aqui a coisa vai ficando melhor... Aliás, a idéia é essa mesmo, a cada texto uma nova informação, opinião e outras cossitas mas...

Voltando ao tema, andei lendo mais e participei até de palestra sobre inovação e está ficando cada vez mais claro que o pilar principal da inovação é a tal da confiança entre os indivíduos. Pois é com confiança em cada relacionamento que se estabelece a colaboração e as inovações acontecem. Isso é até meio antigo, meus pais sempre me disseram, "Duas cabeças pensam melhor que uma". Isso é colaboração e eles me diziam isso sobre encontrar soluções para problemas nos trabalhos escolares e entre os amigos.

Mas a palavra inovação mudou muito de significado e saiu dos labs de pesquisa e desenvolvimento, tá na rua, nos escritórios e claro na internet.

Eu tentei encontrar mas não encontrei uma maneira de aumentar a confiança em cada relacionamento. Mas entendo que para confiar em alguém, é preciso que esse alguém seja confiável. Então é preciso ter a identidade clara e uma ética demonstrada. E isso vou tentar fazer aqui.

E para fomentar a discussão entre nós (eu que escrevo e vocês que lêem) vou depositar aqui algumas idéias que considero inovadoras. Idéias que tive durante o fim de semana depois de ler alguns textos sobre inovação na revista Época Negócios, que, aliás, recomendo.

Então para começar, acho que a Eletrolux, Brastemp, Consul entre outras fabricantes de geladeira poderiam fazer geladeiras de frente transparente, evitaria abrir a geladeira, pois, seria possível ver tudo dentro, então teríamos uma economia de energia e resolveria o problema de compulsão por abertura de geladeira, eu tenho isso, abro sempre que posso (na maioria das vezes já sei o que tem lá dentro)...

Outra coisa que pensei é que estão pintando por aí displays com wi-fi e conexão a internet para geladeiras, a idéia é tocar música e tal. Mas e se esse display tivesse alguma maneira de reconhecer tudo que tem na geladeira e disponibilizasse todas as receitas possíveis contendo só o que está ali dentro? Muita dona de casa ficaria feliz com isso, tendo que apertar um botão só para escolher a receita do dia. Lembrem que a dona de casa tem cada vez menos tempo (se não trabalha em casa é claro)

Bom essas duas idéias tem o objetivo de aumentar a discussão, mas também incentivar novas idéias e a colaboração para que possamos inovar todo dia. Colaborem entre si e busquem ser confiáveis e confiar. Um grande abraço...

Well, I received some comments, mainly from friends about my first text that I added and it's looking like a text extract from some magazine, have the subject, but that's all. And does not have much of me on it, without opinions. So, from now on it will get better... Actually, the idea is really improve text by text with new information, opinions and other cool stuff...

Back to the matter, I have read and participate of presentations about innovation and it's becoming more and more clear that the main support for innovation is the trust between individuals. Because is the trust in each relationship the base for collaboration and the innovation happen. And this is not new, my parents always told me, "Two heads think better then one". This is collaboration and they were telling me that to find solutions on school group works.

But the word innovation has changed the meaning and went out of the labs of research and development, it's on the streets. offices and, sure, on the internet.

I tried to find without success a way to increase the trust on each relationship. But I understand that to trust someone is required that this person be a trust person. Then, is required to have an identity clear and ethic well demonstrated. And this is what I will try here.

And to create the discussion among us (me the writer and you the readers) I will add here some ideas that I consider innovations. Ideas that I had during the last weekend after read some of the article about innovation on the magazine named "Época Negócios", that I recommend.

So, in order to start, I think that Eletrolux, Brastemp, Consul and others refrigerators Companies could produce refrigerators with transparent front, it would avoid to open the refrigerator, because we could see the content, than we could save some energy and solve the compulsion to open the refrigerators, I have that, I open the refrigerator as much as possible (even if I know what is the content)...

Other one that I thought regards the displays that are available to refrigerators as magnets. Those displays have Wi Fi and internet connections, the main objective is play songs and share files with the PC among others. But if this display could know what is available/the content of the refrigerators and produce a list with all possible recipes using only products available? Lots of people would be happy with that, just press the button and get the recipes for the day. Remember that people have less and less time (if does not work at home, of course)

Well, those two ideas have the objective to increase the discussion, but stimulate new ideas and the collaboration necessary to innovate every day too. Let's collaborate and try to show as a trust person and trust other people as well. So, regards...

Inovação / Innovation

Há muito tempo essa palavra ronda as cabeças de 11 entre 10 CEOs. Todos buscando uma maneira de fazer melhor, mais rápido o que está sendo feito agora. Na área de serviços a coisa fica ainda mais difícil, pois, não se vê com tanta facilidade quanto um aparelho celular que agora vira browser e radio am/fm.

A inovação virou sinonimo de sobrevivência, já fomos capazes de criar quase tudo, mas agora queremos fazer cada vez menos e cada vez mais rápido. Queremos tempo para família, amigos e diversão. E as inovações devem aparecer para nos ajudar a termos esse tempo.

Voltemos 10 anos, trabalhar em casa era algo quase inexistente. A cultura, os equipamentos e a segurança entre outros, eram fatores proibitivos. Hoje, em muitos países do mundo, se trabalha mais tempo em casa que no escritório. Principalmente nas grandes empresas, onde serviços é o carro chefe, trabalhar remoto é algo bem comum. Assim tem-se menos custos de espaço, água energia elétrica entre outras coisas. Além de ser um atrativo ao profissional.

Inovação é algo que se faz no dia a dia, prestando atenção em cada tarefa e pensando como isso poderia ser feito de outra forma, fazendo com que algo esperado pelo cliente seja entregue cada vez melhor e cada vez mais rápido, surpriendendo o cliente e garantindo uma boa avaliação e o mais importante, renovação do contrato.

Lembre-se, todos fazem o trivial, o comum, mas poucos superam as expectativas, e esses são os que os clientes

Long time that the word is at the top of mind of CEOs. All looking for ways to do better and faster something that is being doing now. This is harder for services, once it´s not very easy to see the changes, as a cell phone that has a browser and radio.

Innovation bacames survival, we were able to create all we need, but now, we want to save time doing less things and faster. We want time with family, friends and fun. And the innovation are coming to help us on it.

Back in the time 10 years, work from home was very rare. The culture, equipment and the security among other factors were hard enough to avoid that. Today in many countries, it´s possible to work more time from home then in the office. Mainly in the big companies where the serices are the main area and work remote is very common. It allows the Company to save some money with the infra-structure.

Innovation is something that must be done on a daily basis, withing each task, thinking how could it be changed to be done in other way. Making that the result is being delivered to the customer sooner and better. Exceeding expectations and launching contracts renew.

Remember, all do the common, the easy way, but few exceed expectations, and they are the people who the customers want.
